Doritos Crash Course
Wo33er

The second free game for the Dorito's campaign. It's not quite as bad as Dash of Destruction but it's still pretty weak. Completed all courses both solo and then in co-op, and spent over 2 hours fighting for a stupidly hard time trial achievement.

Crazy Taxi
Wo33er

Whilst having aged terribly and being far too short, it's still a worthwhile punt for the 200 MS price tag it was going for. Arcade and Original mode S classed and all side challenges completed.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD
Wo33er

A sloppy port with poor graphics, weak level choices and lazy game design decisions but still great due to maintaining the same great gameplay from the original. Completed all objectives from every level, then again in pro mode, and all achievements. One of my favourite gaming series.

Dead Rising 2
Wo33er

It instantly gets a thumbs up by being an entirely co-op sandbox game. Like Saints Row, many of the flaws go unnoticed as you're distracted doing stupid things with a friend. It'd be a worthwhile game on your own but I'd heavily suggest getting a partner to make it a great game instead.

Mass Effect 2: Lair of the Shadow Broker
Zenball

The best Mass Effect 2 DLC. Lara + Flying Cars + Awesome Levels + Good Boss Fights + Great Story = Rad

Darksiders II: Abyssal Forge

Much better than the first dlc. Featured more of the things Darksiders is good at - platforming and puzzles. Features two boss fights, both entertaining.

Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne
Zenball

Just as good as the first, if not better. Has more graphics, slow-mo is ridiculously overpowered as you move at normal speed while your enemies slow down. Level design is better than the first and the story is better. I love Mona Sax.

Hotline Miami
Animal

Gory, violent, sadistic, subversive puzzle-action game with an amazing soundtrack.

Jumped straight in as one of my games of the 2012. Play it.

Dishonored

A cocktail of Thief mixed with Deus Ex and a slice of Bioshock. Pour over crushed ice for a very impressive stealth-em-up with some fantastic world building.

Darksiders II: Argul's Tomb
Animal

'More of the same' dlc, starts off badly with a 3rd-person shooter section that Darksiders does not do well. Gets better as it goes and the boss fight is pretty fun.

Shark Dash
Wo33er

Shark Dash is a Gameloft clone of Angry Birds with a little more depth and variation. Instead of firing birds at pigs you're firing sharks at coins and ducks. It's all very weird in the mobile game space, and this ones a pick up and play time waster as with Angry Birds that lasts for a handful of hours.

L.A. Noire
Animal

Starts of slow, takes ages to get going and only starts getting good once you reach Vice. Once it got good though I couldn't stop playing it, the story started to become clear and the game turned into quite the romp. Interrogations were very hit and miss, but the facial tech is amazing. Finally as a piece of world building or set dressing 1940's LA was quite the achievement.

Fruit Ninja
Wo33er

It's Fruit Ninja.. you slice things, cut things and smash things. It's alright for a quick play around but grows old after 5 hours. Managed to get 100% Gamerscore at least with the final achievement of cutting 10,000 fruit.

Amnesia: Justine
Animal

Awesome slice of of scariness. Had it's own story to tell that was different enough from the main game to keep things interesting and it's short enough to finish in a single sitting. Definitely worth a play through.

F.E.A.R. 3
Animal

Fthreeer or Fear 3. Story makes no sense. But it's quite fun in a B-movie kinda way. Co-op was entertaining and there's a nice scoring mechanic that defines which of the two endings you'll see.

Oh and it's not scary. At all.

Jetpack Joyride
Wo33er

I loved this game. It's your typical runner but with bags of polish, charm and finely tuned gameplay. It's just that after at least 10 hours of staring at the screen I no longer want to see it ever again.

F.E.A.R. 3
Wo33er

Absolutely pointless story, frequent awful level design, overall average gunplay, tons of frustrating design decisions. Has a few nice ideas, namely the ending, and a handful of 'FEAR' moments but it executes the formula so poorly it'll probably have killed off the series.

The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom
Wo33er

Very similar to Braid just less charming with less of an interesting plot. The puzzles can be very challenging though, and there is enough substance with slight variations on the gameplay mechanics to make it a worthwhile play.

Brilliant game - so well done for what it is, a ridiculous, slow-mo manshooter with an awesome protagonist. Strong.

L.A. Noire
Wo33er

An interesting attempt at doing something different with the impressive facial tech, but far too clunky and awkward in execution. The game would have been better if the first 80% of it was to be cut... and strangely enough there's no investigation scenes or over acted face tracking in the last hours.
